Miriam helped us with a series of things over a period of 3 years to ease my parents decline into extreme old age. They were desperate to stay in their own home for as long as they could and Miriam helped to make this possible with her sound, practical and professional advice on how to adapt their home to make it safe and suitable. They were able to function there very effectively until circumstances forced them to move to a Care Home. Again Miriam was on hand to make sure that the furniture was suitable for their needs and that all was as it should be.
At the very final stages of my father’s life, we again called on Miriam to help as he was fast losing his ability to walk. The respect, charm, humour and positivity she showed him touched me deeply and I will always be so very grateful for her care and support.
When I asked my 97 year old mother to give her opinion on Miriam’s service, she said: ‘She has always been very professional and practical in her advice; persuasive and gently encouraging rather than forceful or pushy. That was the best approach for me as I had to slowly adjust to our new reality’
Thank you.

I was diagnosed with MND approximately 4 years ago and Miriam came on board about 21 months ago as my OT. As my disease has progressed Miriam has been there every step of the way advising, problem solving, and a brilliant person to speak to on my journey. To say she has been supportive is an understatement and I have no hesitation in recommending her to anybody who needs OT support.

Vanessa has been a wonderful help to me in helping my 95 year old mother remain in her own home, by giving so much useful advice in matters where one just does not have sufficient knowledge.
Thank you

From the startI have been very impressed with Miriam. She thoroughly assessed my mum's problems following her second Stroke and has been working with her for the last few months steadily improving the strength and control in the affected arm and hand. At 92 and some level of Dementia, my mum is not always quite 'on the ball' but she has built a rare trust with Miriam and will try her best to do what is asked and do it properly, Miriam's patience and her ability to change tack if what worked last time won't work this time has meant that they have always had a positive session, leaving mum feeling that her effort is worthwhile and that continued improvement is really possible. This is a fantastic for her mental well being as well as her physical state. I would recommend Miriam to anyone needing Occupational Therapy following a Stroke or accident that has left them less than able than they were before.

This was a very difficult period for us and Miriam was very helpful and always there for my husband and I at any time when we needed her as we had no idea what or where to go to look after our mum when she wasn’t well.
Miriam knew all the professionals needed to take care of mum and she handled them always considering our needs first.
Miriam was always there to make sure that all the equipment mum needed was suitable and as it should be.
With the carers, she was able to provide a full , positive assistance and support which was very helpful .The belief that she had in training of carers and safety of our mum really gave us confidence that mum was in good hands.
Miriam used to visit mum weekly at least. She always put mum into a good mood, thanks to her cheerful , hands-on and positive vibe.
A big thank you to Miriam.
